Dynamo Dresden thrashes Hessen Kassel 4‑0 in pre‑season test; Rot‑Weiß Erfurt evaluates new defenders
Dynamo Dresden completed its summer preparation with a 4‑0 victory over KSV Hessen Kassel at Großenhain. The win marked the club’s third pre‑season friendly, maintaining a clean sheet across all matches. Goals were scored by Jonas Oehmichen, new signing Kaan Inanoglu and substitute Niklas Remus, while young midfielder Nico Künzel opened the scoring. Coach Thomas Stamm rotated the entire squad and the team will head to a training camp in Windischgarsten, Austria, before facing Grazer AK on 18 July.
At the same time, Regionalliga side Rot‑Weiß Erfurt conducted two test games, drawing 0‑0 with 1. FC Nürnberg II and losing 0‑3 to Mainz 05 U23. Coach Fabian Gerber used the matches to assess trial defenders Emmanuel Ojokwu from TSV Hartberg and Elano Lorenzo Yegen from Al Rams SC, aiming to strengthen a defence that conceded 47 goals last season. A final friendly against Hessen Kassel is scheduled for Saturday as the club finalises a squad of over 30 players.
