Dynasty Warriors producer prefers new titles over remasters
Tomohiko Sho, the producer of the Dynasty Warriors series, has expressed a preference for developing new titles and sequels rather than continuing with game remasters. While he has not ruled out the possibility of future remasters—noting that the success of the recently released Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered could influence the direction of the franchise—he admitted a personal reluctance to lead such projects.
Sho noted that the remastering process often feels like creating a game from scratch. Now in his fifties, he stated that he is considering how many more games he can produce before retirement and would rather focus his remaining career on original content. He suggested that if the demand for remasters of older titles remains high, the responsibility might be handed over to other development teams or studios.
