DYPA Special Seasonal Allowance applications open in Greece

Applications are open for the 2026 Special Seasonal Allowance provided by DYPA in Greece. Eligible workers must be covered by mandatory e-EFKA insurance and belong to specific professional categories, including construction workers, brickmakers, lime burners, potters, forest workers, tobacco workers, musicians, shipyard workers, heavy machinery operators, actors, film and television technicians, tourism and hospitality workers, and certain performers.

The allowance amounts range from 719 to 1,438 euros. Applications can be submitted electronically via the gov.gr portal or through Citizens' Service Centers (KEP). The deadline for submission is Monday, November 30, at 14:00.

Generally, the allowance is not granted to those who meet the requirements for regular unemployment benefits during the period from September 10, 2026, to November 30, 2026. However, construction workers are an exception and may receive both the special seasonal allowance and regular unemployment benefits. Last year, approximately 80,000 people received this assistance.
