DYPA to expand Greek preschool network with four new centers

The Public Employment Service (DYPA) is expanding its network of nursery and preschool centers in Greece. The agency plans to establish four new facilities in Agrinio, Vonitsa, Pyrgos, and Salamina, which will add a total of 206 new places for infants and young children.

Once completed, the total capacity of the DYPA network will increase from 1,926 to 2,132 places. The stations in Agrinio, Vonitsa, and Pyrgos are already integrated into the co-financed ESPA program. Currently, DYPA operates 28 owned centers across the country, providing free preschool education and care to 1,541 children, thereby supporting 1,361 families.

The existing network includes 10 centers in Attica—located in areas such as Agia Varvara, Elefsina, Ilion, Keratsini, Menidi, Moschato, Olympiako Horio, Peristeri, and Haidari—and 18 centers in the rest of Greece, including cities like Thessaloniki, Patra, Larissa, and Ioannina.
