Dyson and Roborock introduce advanced AI-powered robot vacuums

New advancements in robotic vacuum technology are being introduced by Dyson and Roborock, focusing on enhanced detection and automated maintenance.

Dyson has unveiled the Spot+Scrub Ai, a robot that utilizes a green LED light and a front-facing camera to identify and track stains. The device uses an AI system trained on nearly ten million images to determine cleaning intensity, potentially performing up to fifteen passes on stubborn spots. It features a self-cleaning microfiber roller with a twelve-point hydration system and a base station that washes the roller with 60-degree Celsius water and dries it with 45-degree Celsius air. The base also includes a silver ion sterilization process for the clean water tank and a cyclonic system that can empty dry waste for up to 100 days.

Roborock has released the Qrevo 2 Pro, designed for high-performance cleaning in challenging environments. The robot features 25,000 Pa of suction power and a DuoDivide brush designed to handle hair and pet fur. It maintains a low profile of 9.65 cm to clean under furniture and includes an automated docking station with a 4-liter clean water tank, a 3-liter dirty water tank, and a 2.5-liter dust bag. The device automatically detects carpets to increase suction and adjust cleaning modes.
