Dyson suspends sales of CameraJet toothbrush due to defects

Dyson has suspended sales of its high-end CameraJet toothbrush following reports of technical defects. The device, priced at 479 euros, features proprietary ‘Gap Optical Targeting’ technology, which uses a 100,000-pixel macro camera and machine learning to identify interdental spaces and direct a liquid jet for cleaning.

Reports from users and testing by Consumer Reports indicated that some units were not water-resistant, with some devices failing after only 24 hours of use. In France, sales were suspended approximately ten days after the product's launch due to a component defect affecting a limited number of units from early production batches.

Dyson has stated that the issue is a technical flaw affecting only a portion of the units. The company is offering refunds to customers who have already purchased the CameraJet, regardless of whether the device is still functional. In the Netherlands, the product has been removed from availability as the company works to resolve the issues.
