Düzce: 4 dead and 9 injured in truck and agricultural vehicle collision

A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Akçakoca district of Düzce, Turkey, involving a truck loaded with iron and steel and an agricultural vehicle known locally as a ‘patpat’ used to transport hazelnut workers. The collision took place on the D-655 highway in the Ayazlı Akevler area.

According to reports and statements from the Düzce Governor's Office, the impact caused the truck to go off the road and roll into a garden near a nearby house. The accident resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including three female workers and a field owner. The deceased have been identified as Hasan Cumhur, Perçin Dayan, Lütfü Demir, and Masum Demir.

Nine people were injured in the crash and were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Emergency services, including health, fire, police, and gendarmerie teams, responded to the scene. An administrative and judicial investigation into the incident has been launched.
