Düzce entrepreneur transitions from accounting to blueberry farming

A 38-year-old former accounting specialist has successfully transitioned from a corporate career to blueberry farming in Derdin village, Düzce. After moving to the region five years ago, she utilized state-supported loans for female entrepreneurs to invest in 1,300 blueberry saplings, drip irrigation, and protective fencing.

Through technical support and training provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s “Project for the Dissemination and Control of Good Agricultural Practices,” she has significantly increased her yield. Following an initial harvest of 700 kilograms, her production reached 3 tons this season.
