Düzce provides 2.6 million TL in agricultural support to farmers

In Düzce, Turkey, local authorities have provided 2.6 million TL in agricultural support to help farmers reduce input costs and increase production. The initiative, led by the Düzce Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, involved two primary projects.

Under the Lettuce Production Development Project, 139 producers received a total of 207,300 certified lettuce seedlings, with a project budget of 649,540 TL. Additionally, the Wheat Production Development Project distributed 62,850 kilograms of certified wheat seeds to 160 producers for use across 2,514 decares of land, supported by a 2 million TL budget.

During the distribution ceremony, Düzce Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Esra Uzun emphasized the importance of production planning for sustainable agriculture. Fazlı Koç, President of the Düzce Provincial General Assembly, noted that agricultural production is strategically vital for the national economy and food security.
