Düzce University completes 6th honey bee venom production course
Düzce University’s Apiculture Research Development and Application Center (DAGEM) has successfully completed its 6th Honey Bee Venom Production Course. The program aims to teach scientific, controlled, and sustainable methods for extracting bee venom, highlighting that apiculture extends beyond honey production.
The training consists of both theoretical and practical components. Theoretical sessions cover bee anatomy, biology, the chemical and physical properties of venom, and the health effects of apitherapy. The practical portion takes place at the beehives, where participants learn about equipment use, disinfection, harvesting, and proper storage techniques to ensure material quality and safety.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate verifiable through the e-Devlet system. Those who meet specific requirements are also eligible to obtain a certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
