Turkey adopts 10‑Year Family and Population Vision Plan
Turkey’s Ministry of Family and Social Services has released the “Aile ve Nüfus On Yıl Vizyon Belgesi,” a comprehensive policy roadmap for the next decade. The document, prepared under the 2025 Family Year initiative, sets five strategic priorities: preserving the family institution and future generations, encouraging marriage, raising the fertility rate, improving youth education and elder welfare, and promoting balanced rural development. Implementation will rely on regularly prepared action plans and a dynamic monitoring system. A national data infrastructure will be strengthened, and a dedicated data‑production and analysis platform will be built using statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK). The plan also calls for the creation of graduate programmes, increased research funding in family and population fields, and the establishment of funding mechanisms to support such research.
