Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna Debuts New Elf 3.0 Trains at Łódź Fabryczna

On 22 July 2026, Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna (ŁKA) introduced four new Pesa Elf 3.0 train sets at Łódź Fabryczna station. The 60‑metre‑long trains, each capable of carrying up to 350 passengers, feature air‑conditioning, free Wi‑Fi and power outlets. They arrived on platform 2 at 13:00 and were followed by long queues of residents, families, railway enthusiasts and officials.

The launch was marked by a live orchestra, music from James Bond, steam‑blast effects and fire displays. Attendees were invited to board the modern wagons, take souvenir photos and enjoy a first free ride to Skierniewice or Koluszki. Regional Marshal Joanna Skrzydlewska highlighted the growth of ŁKA, noting passenger numbers rose from 324 000 in 2014 to 12 million in 2025, and outlined plans for further fleet expansion by 2029.

With the addition of these four units, ŁKA now operates 53 train sets, enabling new connections, higher frequencies and service to previously unserved locations, strengthening regional mobility and modernising public transport in the Łódź region.
