Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna restores PESA train services

Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna (ŁKA) has announced the return of PESA Elf 3.0 trains to service following technical repairs. The fleet was previously withdrawn from operation due to recurring faults, including issues with door control systems and other components.

The manufacturer, PESA Bydgoszcz S.A., was held responsible for the malfunctions. After performing diagnostic and service work, the vehicles underwent static and dynamic testing to confirm their operational readiness.

The technical issues resulted in the cancellation of approximately 6 percent of scheduled services, affecting various routes across the Łódź Voivodeship, including connections to Kutno, Zgierz, and Radom. Full service according to the official timetable is expected to resume on Friday, September 25.
