E Blacks and Canteen launch flag campaign for youth cancer support

The E Blacks, New Zealand’s national esports team, and Canteen Aotearoa have launched a fundraising campaign to support young people impacted by cancer. The initiative aims to honor the more than 4,200 rangatahi affected by cancer in Aotearoa annually.

As part of the campaign, the E Blacks will carry a special flag to the Global Esports Games in Los Angeles this December. The flag is designed with 4,200 pixels, representing each young person impacted by the disease. Supporters can donate to claim blocks of pixels to include typed or drawn messages of support, which will be printed on the flag.

All donations benefit Canteen Aotearoa, an organization that provides counseling, peer support, and community services to young people navigating cancer diagnosis, treatment, and grief.
