E-commerce expands access to religious products in Brazil

E-commerce is significantly expanding access to specialized religious products in Brazil, overcoming previous geographic limitations. Consumers in smaller cities, who previously relied on local physical stores or travel to urban centers, can now access much larger catalogs of Bibles, educational materials, and ministry-focused products online.

Data from IBGE indicates a major shift in digital behavior: 90.5% of people aged 10 and older in Brazil used the internet in 2025. Furthermore, for the first time in the historical series, more than half of internet users (52.7%) reported using the network to purchase or order goods and services, marking a 4.8 percentage point increase from the previous year.
