E-commerce growth requires integrating SEO, CRO, and GEO
An analysis of over 450 digital projects and approximately 6 million clicks between 2021 and 2026 reveals that increasing organic traffic alone does not guarantee e-commerce growth. The data indicates that many operations experienced traffic increases without proportional revenue gains due to friction in the customer journey, such as poor product pages, weak mobile experiences, or checkout issues.
To address this, experts like Felipe Moreno, founder of Kairós Marketing Digital, advocate for integrating Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). While SEO drives visibility and traffic, CRO focuses on converting that attention into sales, and GEO expands brand presence within AI-driven discovery systems like ChatGPT and Gemini.
Findings show that mature organic strategies often yield conversion rates between 3% and 5%, highlighting the importance of connecting acquisition with conversion to drive actual business revenue.
