E-Distribuzione to invest 21.8 million euros in Macerata infrastructure

E-Distribuzione, a subsidiary of the Enel Group, has announced a strategic investment plan of 21.8 million euros for the municipality of Macerata. The plan includes the installation of 43 kilometers of new electrical lines and the construction of a second primary AT/MT substation in the Rotacupa district.

This new infrastructure is intended to complement the existing facility in Corneto, enhancing the technological and digital management of the local grid. Current reports indicate that Macerata’s electrical network efficiency is significantly higher than national averages, with 2025 projections showing an average interruption duration of 21.62 minutes compared to the national average of 42.66 minutes.
