Greece: e-EFKA and DYPA to distribute 1.39 billion euros in payments
Between September 21 and 25, 2026, e-EFKA and the Public Employment Service (DYPA) will distribute a total of 1,392,004,633.40 euros to 2,712,497 beneficiaries in Greece.
From e-EFKA, 1.32 billion euros are scheduled for October 2026 main and auxiliary pensions on September 25, benefiting 2.63 million people. Other e-EFKA payments include 15.9 million euros for various benefits on September 21 and 17 million euros for lump-sum payments for 800 beneficiaries.
From DYPA, 18 million euros will be paid to 30,000 people for unemployment and other benefits, 1 million euros to 3,000 mothers for maternity leave, and 20 million euros to 19,000 beneficiaries of employment programs. Additionally, 100,000 euros will be allocated to 200 organizations for community programs.
Separate reports indicate that e-EFKA is also processing retroactive payments for over 35,000 pensioners, with some amounts reaching several thousand euros due to pension recalculations. Furthermore, DYPA data for August 2026 shows 717,926 registered unemployed individuals, with a significant portion being women and those in the 30-44 age bracket.
