E Majta accuses North Macedonian government of spending irregularities

The political party E Majta has accused the North Macedonian government of a lack of transparency regarding the allocation of 5.5 million euros for independence jubilee celebrations. The party alleges irregularities in the procurement process, noting that only one approximately 100-page bid was submitted by the May 8 deadline, yet the government announced a performance by David Guetta just four days later.

E Majta has raised concerns regarding the rapid timeline used to evaluate the documentation and financial feasibility of the offer. Furthermore, the party pointed to discrepancies between the public call's requirements and statements made by Commission Chairman Nikollçe Micievski. They specifically questioned Micievski's role, noting he led the commission reviewing the bid while also serving as an organizer for a separate concert featuring José Carreras.

The party is demanding the full publication of all commission reports, meeting minutes, individual evaluations, and the complete chronology of the selection process to ensure accountability for the use of public funds.
