e-Mobility Power launches redesigned EV charging application

e-Mobility Power has announced a complete overhaul of its charging service application for electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) users. The updated app, launched on September 29, 2026, focuses on creating a seamless user experience by integrating the processes of locating charging spots, initiating charging, and processing payments.

Key improvements include a redesigned charging map and spot pins that provide clearer information on charger types, power output (kW), and real-time availability. Enhanced filtering functions allow users to search for specific charging requirements, while detailed screens display compatible connectors to ensure smooth operation.

The update also introduces a new ‘Visitor Plan’ with a monthly base fee of 0 yen, aimed at making charging more accessible to non-members. By allowing users to pre-register payment information, the app facilitates quick charging sessions without repeated data entry. Biometric authentication is also supported for enhanced security and ease of use. Support for various mobile payment services is expected to be implemented in October 2026.
