E-scooter crashes in England hospitalize a boy and a man with head injuries
A 12‑year‑old boy was injured in Darlington on July 26 after falling from an illegal e‑scooter, suffering a fractured skull and facial injuries. Emergency crews, including the Great North Air Ambulance Service and North East Ambulance Service, treated him on‑scene before transporting him to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
Two days later, a man in his 40s was hospitalized with a head injury after a crash on an e‑scooter in Liscard, Merseyside. Police and Merseyside Ambulance services responded, closed the road and an air ambulance was also deployed to the scene.
