E-Sănătatea Mea platform faces access issues for doctors and patients

Two weeks after its launch, the ‘E-Sănătatea Mea’ platform, designed to centralize patient medical histories, documents, and prescriptions, is facing integration and access challenges in Romania.

Reports from medical professionals in Iași indicate inconsistent access. While outpatient doctors have been able to enroll and some hospital managers have successfully used the application via tablets, family doctors currently lack login credentials. According to Liviu Oprea, President of the Iași College of Physicians, family doctors are expected to receive access in a later stage of the rollout.

The platform aims to eliminate the need for patients to manually transport medical letters and test results between specialists by allowing digital information to flow directly between providers. Despite these intended benefits, some medical facilities, including the Pneumophthisiology Hospital in Iași, have reported difficulties integrating the new system with existing IT infrastructures.
