E. Solvay Velodrome reopens in San Vincenzo after renovation

The E. Solvay Velodrome in San Carlo, San Vincenzo, has officially reopened following a renovation project aimed at improving safety and usability. The inauguration ceremony, attended by approximately 800 people including athletes, technical staff, and local officials, featured the start of competitive races involving over 200 athletes from across Italy.

The renovation, which cost approximately 500,000 euros, was described by Mayor Paolo Riccucci as a ‘winning bet’ that serves as a key component in the redevelopment of the area. The facility is noted as the only track of its kind in the western region of Tuscany, intended to support training, school projects, and competitive cycling events.

Representatives from CONI and Federciclismo attended the event, highlighting the facility's importance for the Tuscan sporting movement and the development of cycling disciplines.
