e& UAE launches region’s first 1024QAM 5G network, hitting 4.58 Gbps speeds

e& UAE has activated 1024QAM modulation on its live commercial 5G network, becoming the first operator in the Middle East to deploy the highest‑order modulation on a live service. The upgrade enables multi‑gigabit speeds of up to 4.58 Gbps, demonstrated with the Huawei Pura 90s smartphone, and improves spectral efficiency and network capacity for data‑intensive applications.

The rollout is part of e& UAE’s 5G‑Advanced roadmap, which previously introduced four‑carrier aggregation and U6 GHz technologies. Executives said the move prepares the network for AI‑driven services, immersive experiences and future 6G services, offering faster downloads, smoother cloud gaming and more reliable high‑definition video calls for customers.
