E22 highway construction preparations increase traffic activity in Söderköping

Preparations for the construction of the new E22 highway in Söderköping are increasing activity levels. Throughout the autumn, blasting operations will continue, leading to increased construction traffic and several changes for road users.

At the Slussporten traffic junction, blasting is scheduled once per week until the end of the year. This may result in temporary traffic stops of up to ten minutes and speed reductions from 100 to 70 km/h. Additionally, temporary traffic lights will be implemented starting in week 40 to manage construction vehicles crossing the E22.

Other local impacts include speed limit reductions on Road 210, where limits will drop from 70 to 50 km/h due to increased heavy vehicle traffic, and ongoing blasting at the upcoming Västra traffic junction near Road 780, which may also cause brief traffic stoppages.
