EAAE 50th Annual Conference concludes in Cagliari

The 50th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE) recently concluded in Cagliari, Italy. Hosted by the School of Architecture at the University of Cagliari, the international event drew over 240 professors, researchers, professionals, and scholars representing 35 different countries.

The conference theme, ‘XS_S_M. Architecture of the Fitting’, focused on addressing contemporary development challenges by questioning ‘urbanocentric’ trends and the dominance of large-scale projects. Discussions emphasized the importance of local dimensions and ‘smallness’ to rethink the relationship between cities and landscapes through the specificities of individual locations.

The four-day program included six keynote lectures, four workshops, four exhibitions, ten parallel sessions, and two award ceremonies, alongside the association's plenary assembly.
