Eagles rookie Makai Lemon earns first-team reps at training camp

The Philadelphia Eagles are giving first‑round rookie receiver Makai Lemon significant involvement in their week‑long training camp, running routes, catching passes and even practicing punt returns. Coach Zach Berman said the team wants to get Lemon the ball early and often, and teammates noted his hard work and willingness to learn from veterans.

Lemon highlighted a near‑highlight play when quarterback Jalen Hurts overthrew him on a deep route, and he praised the experience of sharing a room with seasoned receivers. The coaching staff is also developing his role in gadget plays, while other rookies such as tight end Eli Stowers remain lower on the depth chart.
