Early cancer detection: Identifying painless warning signs

Early-stage cancer often presents without obvious pain, as small tumors may be contained by the immune system before causing significant organ damage or discomfort. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one-third of cancer cases are preventable, and another third can be cured if detected early.

Key painless warning signs include persistent itching without an apparent cause, which may indicate issues with the liver, lymphatic system, or kidneys. Other indicators include a persistent low-grade fever lasting more than two weeks in the absence of infection, which can be associated with blood, lymph node, or liver cancers.
