Earth Saver Quest app launches at 12 Japanese zoos and aquariums

CLASS EARTH Co., Ltd. and vildas Co., Ltd. are launching ‘Earth Saver Quest’, an interactive encyclopedia application, at 12 zoos and aquariums across Japan starting October 17.

The app utilizes AI technology to identify animals when users photograph them, allowing visitors to build a personalized digital encyclopedia. To enhance the educational experience, the app features quizzes produced by QuizKnock and facility-specific missions that allow users to increase their ‘Earth Saver rank’.

New features include the ability to scan existing photos from a smartphone library and a visual indicator for species listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. The project aims to transform visits to zoos and aquariums into immersive learning experiences that encourage children to engage with biodiversity and environmental conservation.
