Earthquake recovery efforts utilize 3D technology and new institutional agreements
Efforts to manage earthquake recovery are advancing through technological integration and institutional agreements. In Manizales, Colombia, the Mayor's Office has acquired specialized 3D imaging technology donated by Sky Solutions. This tool allows for the creation of three-dimensional representations of structures to facilitate the identification and analysis of damage caused by seismic activity.
In a separate effort regarding reconstruction, the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) and Fedecámaras have signed a memorandum of understanding to coordinate responses to the earthquakes that occurred on June 24. This agreement enables CAF to act as an implementer or executor of a Recovery Fund for Venezuela. The partnership aims to facilitate coordination between public entities, the private sector, and international organizations to channel financial support and promote transparent contracting standards during the reconstruction process.
