Bad Schwalbach earthquake hits Hesse, Germany

A magnitude 2.6 earthquake struck Bad Schwalbach in the German state of Hesse on Tuesday evening at 21:59. The epicenter was located directly in Bad Schwalbach at a depth of approximately 17 kilometers.

According to the State Office for Nature, Environment and Geology (HLNUG) in Wiesbaden, the tremor was felt by many residents who described vibrations similar to someone shaking a house. While the event caused some shock among citizens and led to isolated police calls, no injuries or significant material damage were reported by the Wiesbaden Police Headquarters.
