Earthquakes strike Nashik, Chamba, and Afghanistan

Multiple earthquakes were recorded across India and Afghanistan on Friday morning. In Maharashtra, a 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Nashik district at approximately 5:32 AM, with a depth of about 3 kilometers. The tremors caused minor panic among residents in the Surgana taluka, though no damage to life or property has been reported.

In Himachal Pradesh, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Chamba at 6:36 AM with a depth of 5 kilometers. Meanwhile, Afghanistan experienced two seismic events within a 12-minute interval: a 4.0 magnitude quake followed by a 4.4 magnitude quake, the strongest of the morning's recorded activity. The Afghan tremors occurred at significant depths of 147 and 136 kilometers, respectively.

These events follow recent seismic activity in other parts of Maharashtra, including Palghar, which experienced multiple tremors earlier in the week.
