EA confirms leaked gameplay footage for Marvel's Iron Man game
Electronic Arts (EA) has confirmed the authenticity of leaked gameplay footage from its upcoming Marvel's Iron Man video game, developed by Motive Studio. The leak, which surfaced on social media and forums like Reddit and ResetEra, features approximately two and a half minutes of in-progress footage.
The video, marked with an “AUG26” watermark, provides a first look at the project since its initial announcement in 2022. It depicts Tony Stark engaging in high-speed flight through urban environments and combat sequences involving both aerial and ground-based action. Key features shown include a suit customization system, various weaponry such as lasers and rockets, and locations including a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and potentially Japan.
Following the leak, EA directed inquiries to a new official Iron Man social media account. The account’s first post acknowledged the incident, stating, “Well, that didn't go as planned. But now you know, and we've got a lot more to show you. See you when we're ready.” While the footage appears to be an early development build with unfinished assets, the confirmation from EA and Marvel Games suggests the project is actively in development despite years of limited public updates.
