Eason Chan concert registration nears 5 million applicants
Nearly 5 million people have registered for the lottery to attend Eason Chan’s upcoming recording sessions in Hong Kong. The event, titled “McDonald’s Presents: Recording Sessions with Mr. Eason Chan,” consists of 26 shows at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
With approximately 26,000 total seats available across all sessions, the estimated winning probability is less than 0.24% per registration. Organizers have announced that 90% of the tickets will be made available through public sale.
In response to a surge in scalping activity and fraudulent online advertisements claiming to guarantee tickets, organizers have filed a report with the police. The ticketing platform has begun a large-scale verification process to screen for duplicate registrations, suspicious phone numbers, and irregular email addresses to ensure fairness. The first round of lottery results is expected to be announced on November 2, with the second round following on November 6.
