East and West Flemish Windmill Day to feature provincial sites

Four provincial windmills in East Flanders will open to the public on Sunday, October 18, as part of the East and West Flemish Windmill Day. The participating sites include Meuleken ‘t Dal in Zingem, the Roomanmolen in Sint-Pauwels, the Zwalmmolen in Munkzwalm, and the Windekemolen in Balegem.

Visitors can observe demonstrations of how these machines function, provided there is sufficient wind. Activities include guided tours, milling demonstrations, and tastings of products made from mill flour. The Windekemolen will also offer windmill pancakes and local drinks. The Fauconniersmolen in Oordegem will remain closed due to ongoing work.
