East Azerbaijan weather alert: Flooding and heavy rain predicted

Meteorologists have issued warnings for East Azerbaijan regarding an incoming weather system expected to bring heavy rain, thunderstorms, and potential flooding. The most significant activity is predicted for Monday, with a high risk of rivers overflowing, particularly in the northern and eastern regions of the province.

In addition to rainfall, experts warn of possible hail and localized flooding in public passages. High winds are expected to increase starting tomorrow afternoon, especially in the southern parts of the province, which may cause damage to lightweight structures, advertising signs, and greenhouse roofs. Dust storms are also possible due to increased wind speeds.

Following the recent rise in temperatures, a significant drop in temperature is forecasted to begin on Tuesday as the weather system moves through the region.
