East Berlin drama explores 1980s fashion and subculture

Set in East Berlin in 1988, the drama film follows 17-year-old Suzie, who transitions from working as a specialist in a cable factory to becoming an East German supermodel. Her opportunity arises after a chance encounter in a tram leads her to the fashion world of VHB Exquisit and the cover of the fashion journal Sibylle.

As Suzie enters the vibrant underground subculture, she navigates complex relationships, including a romance with a rebellious photographer named Coyote. The narrative explores themes of freedom, the desire to escape socialist daily life, and the difficult choices required to maintain connections versus seeking a life in the West.
