East Idaho weather: Cooling trend and high winds expected

East Idaho is expecting a cooling trend and windy conditions over the weekend. A Red Flag Warning is currently active for the southern portion of the Sawtooth National Forest due to low humidity and gusty winds.

On Sunday, wind gusts could exceed 45 mph in Arco, Mud Lake, and Dubois, prompting a Wind Advisory from the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to drop by 10 to 15 degrees on Monday following a cold front, with daytime highs reaching the 60s. A warming trend is projected to follow through the middle of the week, with temperatures returning to the mid-70s by Friday.
