East Java authorities coordinate to ensure regional security and investment stability

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and East Java Police Chief Irjen Dekananto Eko Purwono are strengthening coordination to maintain regional stability and a conducive investment climate. The synergy aims to provide legal certainty and social stability, which are viewed as essential factors for building investor confidence and driving economic growth.

As part of a community engagement strategy, the East Java Police have launched the ‘Subuh Keliling’ program. This initiative involves officers participating in early morning religious services at mosques to engage in direct dialogue with citizens. During a recent session at Al Hikmah Mosque in Surabaya, Irjen Dekananto emphasized the importance of professional, humanistic policing and instructed officers to maintain integrity and avoid abusing their authority.

Key issues addressed during community dialogues include the fight against narcotics targeting the youth. Additionally, the provincial government is focusing on maintaining open communication with various social elements, including laborers and students, to ensure long-term regional security and economic prosperity.
