East Java celebrates 81st anniversary at Gedung Negara Grahadi

Preparations are underway for the 81st anniversary ceremony of East Java Province at the Gedung Negara Grahadi in Surabaya. On Monday, October 12, 2026, officials and participants gathered at the venue, with choir groups practicing in traditional attire. Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Vice Governor Emil Elestianto Dardak were present to welcome guests.

The provincial government has opened a total of 1,000 invitation slots for the general public, split into two sessions. Public interest has been exceptionally high; the first 500 slots were filled within just 31 seconds of registration opening. Following the ceremony, the provincial government plans to provide free traditional East Javanese culinary specialties to attendees at the Grahadi site.
