East Java Governor Khofifah checks staple food prices in Bojonegoro ahead of Eid al‑Adha
Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa visited Bojonegoro’s Banjarejo market on 25 May 2026 to monitor staple‑food prices before the Idul Adha holiday. She said, “Menjelang hari besar seperti Iduladha biasanya terjadi peningkatan permintaan. Karena itu kami turun langsung untuk memastikan stok aman dan harga tetap terkendali,” and added, “Kalau permintaan naik sementara pasokan tetap, biasanya ada kecenderungan harga beberapa barang ikut naik.”
The inspection found most items stable: 5‑kg SPHP rice at Rp62,500, cooking oil at Rp15,700 per litre, chicken at about Rp33,000 per kg and eggs at Rp26,000 per kg. Beef rose from Rp120,000 to Rp125,000 per kg and red onion (bawang merah) jumped from roughly Rp33,000 to Rp45,000 per kg, while other vegetables stayed within normal ranges. Stock levels were deemed sufficient and the governor’s team distributed assistance to rickshaw drivers and market traders.
