East Java Governor offers free Trans Jatim fares for National Transportation Day

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa has announced one day of free fares for the Trans Jatim public transportation service on Thursday, September 17, 2026, to commemorate National Transportation Day (Harhubnas).

The free fare program applies to all Trans Jatim services within the Gerbangkertasusila Corridors 1–7 and the Malang Raya Corridor 1. However, the Trans Jatim Luxury service is excluded from this promotion.

Governor Khofifah stated that the initiative serves as an appreciation to the public and an effort to encourage citizens to transition from private vehicles to public transit. By increasing the use of mass transportation, the provincial government aims to reduce traffic congestion, lower air pollution, and improve regional connectivity across East Java.
