East Java Gymnastics Championship held in Kediri

The 2026 PERSANI East Java Provincial Gymnastics Championship is currently being held at the Simpang Lima Gumul Convention Hall in Kediri Regency. The event features 279 athletes representing 24 regencies and cities across East Java, competing in aerobic, artistic, and rhythmic gymnastics categories.

Kediri Regency is serving as the host and has deployed 12 athletes to the competition. Local officials emphasized that the championship serves as a vital platform to identify future talent for national and international events, as well as to prepare for the 2027 and 2029 Provincial Sports Weeks (Porprov).

Sidoarjo athletes have shown strong early performance, securing nine medals so far, including two gold, three silver, and four bronze. KONI Sidoarjo officials stated that the competition is being used to evaluate technical skills, physical quality, and mental readiness to map out athlete development strategies for upcoming regional competitions.
