East Java Multipurpose Terminal explores trade links with Eastern Indonesia

The East Java Multipurpose Terminal (EJMT), an operation of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) in Lamongan, recently hosted members of the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI/ILFA) to discuss enhancing trade links between East Java and Eastern Indonesia.

Discussions focused on improving cargo flows between production centers and consumer markets, expanding access to domestic and international shipping routes, and utilizing port, warehousing, and bonded facilities to serve various industries. The meeting aimed to address growing demand for efficient transport networks across the archipelago by examining freight development, market access, and transport connectivity.

Located within the Lamongan Shorebase complex, EJMT provides access to industrial developments such as the Jakamitra Industrial Park. Having commenced operations in October 2024, the terminal handles containerized, bulk, project, and heavy-lift shipments for customers in Lamongan, Tuban, and surrounding areas.
