East Java regions begin athlete selection for 2027 Porprov

Various regional sports organizations in East Java have initiated athlete selection processes in preparation for the 2027 East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov Jatim 2027).

In Surabaya, the Domino Sports Organization (Orado) is using the Gebu Minang Cup 4 tournament to scout potential talent. The organization has set a target of winning five gold medals at the 2027 provincial games. The tournament featured 64 teams and approximately 128 participants from various regions.

In Probolinggo, the Indonesian Drum Band Association (PDBI) conducted a two-day selection process at GOR Mastrip. Out of 50 participants, the organization aims to select 23 athletes—comprising 11 females and 12 males—to undergo eight months of intensive training. The selection criteria include physical, health, written, and technical assessments to ensure candidates possess both technical skill and mental fortitude.
