Sexual violence allegations involve Raka Raki runner-up and Jakarta father

Two separate cases of sexual violence have drawn significant public attention in Indonesia.

In East Java, Tio Ferdian Rahmana, a runner-up in the Raka Raki Jawa Timur 2026 competition and former Cak Surabaya 2023, is facing allegations of sexual violence. A woman has used social media to claim that Rahmana pressured her to undergo an abortion in Singapore. In response, the Ikatan Raka Raki Jawa Timur (IRARI Jatim) has formed an independent team to investigate the matter, stating they will take action according to internal rules and condemn any abuse of power.

In Jakarta, police have detained a 48-year-old man, identified by the initial H, for the alleged sexual abuse of his biological daughter. The abuse reportedly occurred repeatedly between 2020 and September 2024. The case came to light after the victim confided in her school's guidance counselor and class teacher. Polda Metro Jaya is utilizing scientific crime investigation methods, including medical and psychological examinations, to build an objective case against the suspect.
