East Kalimantan Prosecutor Raids Education Office Over Alleged Teacher Incentive Corruption

The East Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Kaltim) conducted a multi‑day raid on the Kutai Kartanegara District Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud Kukar) to investigate alleged misappropriation of teacher incentive funds. The investigation targets irregular payments of the Additional Income for Civil Servants (TPP) for ASN teachers and incentive money for non‑ASN teachers for the 2020‑2025 fiscal periods.

Investigators seized dozens of financial documents, budget disbursement records, bank statements, eight mobile phones and digital evidence, and questioned seven officials including procurement and technical officers. About ten prosecutors led the operation, which was secured by eight members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. Prosecutor‑in‑charge Toni Yuswanto and team leader Danang said the suspected transactions could involve tens of billions of rupiah, though the exact loss is still being calculated. The probe remains ongoing, with further suspect identification and legal action expected.
