East Liverpool sports see volleyball win and football rivalry loss

In regional high school sports, East Liverpool's volleyball team ended Salem’s six-match winning streak with a 25-19, 26-24, 25-13 victory at the Potter Fieldhouse. Kendall Martin led the attack for East Liverpool with 17 kills. Following the win, East Liverpool improves to a 7-1 record.

In football, Beaver Local defeated arch-rival East Liverpool 28-7 at Patterson Field. The Beavers' defense and special teams secured the win by forcing four turnovers and blocking a punt. This victory moves Beaver Local to a 4-0 overall record and 2-0 in the Buckeye 8, marking their best start in 22 years.
