East Macedonia and Thrace Region conducts tourism mission in New York

The Region of East Macedonia and Thrace has completed a multi-level promotional mission in New York aimed at increasing the destination's visibility in the American market. The initiative focused on establishing communication channels with 58 American travel agents, professional tourism entities, and diaspora organizations.

Supported by Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis, the mission included institutional meetings and religious engagements. The delegation participated in the ordination of new Ecumenical Patriarchate officials at the Holy Trinity Archdiocesan Cathedral in New York, meeting with Archbishop Elpidophoros and Metropolitan Athenagoras of New Jersey.

Additionally, the mission visited the offices of the diaspora media outlet ‘Ethnikos Keryx’ in Astoria to discuss the development of medical tourism and further international promotion of the region.
