EastEnders actress Tameka Empson has discussed the evolving character arc of Kim Fox, noting that the character is experiencing a ‘reality check’ following her sister Denise’s diagnosis of acute myeloid leukaemia. Developed in collaboration with the charity Blood Cancer UK, the storyline explores how the illness affects the entire family, forcing Kim to step into a more responsible, matriarchal role.
